Symantec Appoints Fredrik Torstensson to Lead Global Sales for Consumer Business

Mountain View, Calif. – May 2, 2017 – Norton by Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced Fredrik Torstensson was appointed as its new senior vice president of global sales and field marketing for the consumer business. In his new role, Torstensson will be responsible for driving global consumer revenue growth for the LifeLock and Norton businesses, strengthening strategic partnerships with customers, and securing a world-class marketing position.

Torstensson brings more than 20 years of experience in executive management within the fields of consumer electronics, software, wireless, e-commerce and Enterprise/B2B. Prior to joining Symantec, Torstensson was the senior vice president of global sales at Wacom, a global leader of pen touch technology. He also previously served in senior level sales and general manager positions with LifeProof, which was acquired by Otterbox, Comarco Wireless, Kyocera Wireless and Ericsson. Torstensson earned a Master of International Management from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
