KnowBe4 Announces Free Phish Alert for G Suite

(Tampa Bay, FL) November 22, 2016 — KnowBe4, the most popular and fastest growing security awareness and simulated phishing platform, announced new functionality for customers and anyone using G Suite (formerly called Google Apps for Work). Growing use of cloud email shows G Suite has gained traction, especially with companies under 50 million, according to analyst firm Gartner. Consequently, KnowBe4 developed functionality that allows users to identify and send suspected phishing emails to IT or their incident response team for follow up with one simple click. Known as Phish Alert, it allows KnowBe4 customers the ability to identify simulated phishes, reinforcing their new-school security awareness training.

Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4 stated, “We’ve seen a steady surge in ransomware this year, expected to be 4 times 2015. New-school security awareness training is no longer a ‘nice to have’ but a necessity. We wanted to provide IT managers using G Suite with the ability to effectively manage the problem of social engineering by offering a simple way to easily identify and segregate a suspected phish. This functionality is available for businesses using Outlook, Office 365 and now G Suite.”

Phish Alert gives users a safe way to forward email threats to the security team for analysis and deletes the email from the user’s inbox to prevent future exposure and now works for Gmail users with G Suite using Chrome.
