Kaspersky North America Wins Gold Building Impact Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

Woburn, MA – September 10, 2021 – Kaspersky North America has been recognized with Building Impact’s Gold Impact Award, given to Boston’s most socially responsible companies. The award honors the company’s continued commitment to social responsibility through volunteerism and philanthropy within the local community.

In 2020, Kaspersky North America supported more than 28 U.S.-based non-profit organizations, including the Greater Boston Food Bank, Community Servings, Schools on Wheels, the New England Center and Home for Veterans, as well as Cradles to Crayons. Charitable events ranged from virtual volunteering opportunities, making cards for the elderly and essential workers, and a virtual competition to raise money for the Boston Children’s Hospital. Nearly 100 employees participated in these efforts, utilizing their Volunteer Time Off (VTO) allotted by the company.

“Making a difference in the local community has always been a priority to employees and Kaspersky overall. Through organizations like Building Impact, we are able to reach various deserving non-profit charities while offering a range of volunteer activities throughout the year,” said Rob Cataldo, managing director, Kaspersky North America. “As a company committed to Corporate Social Responsibility, Kaspersky is honored to receive this award from Building Impact and will continue our humanitarian efforts in our community and throughout North America.”

This is the seventh year Kaspersky has been honored with this award, and the company will continue to strive to achieve these high standings. “Our team would like to say a collective, congratulations,” said Dave Simpson, director of growth strategy and development, Building Impact. “It is our pleasure to acknowledge Kaspersky for supporting their community.”

Launched in 2011, Kaspersky North America’s VTO program encourages employees to step away from their desks and make an impact within local communities. As part of the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, all North American full-time employees are offered up to 24 hours of VTO and part-time staff may use eight hours of VTO per year.
