These courses are designed to train, enhance, and elevate cyber professionals to mastery across several technical disciplines in defensive cyber operations. root9B courses focus on developing an ‘adversary mentality’ and emphasize hands-on, practical application of tradecraft, situation awareness, and creative problem solving in all phases of the learning cycle. This approach and the real-world cybersecurity operations experience shared by instructors are key differentiators for root9B’s training.
“root9B understands the cognitive aspects required to execute cyber defense operations,” said Mike Morris, root9B’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our curriculum provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for our students to defeat the adversary and defend the networks they are responsible to secure.”
root9B’s HUNT certification program is an intense three-part program that teaches students the methodology and technical details required by cyber defenders to operate against cyber adversaries. Students certified through this program learn the defensive methodologies, techniques, and technical concepts necessary to search for and discover previously undetected intruders that evade automated security solutions.
