Zscaler, the leading cloud security provider, today announced it has been named Leader by Gartner, Inc. in the 2016 Magic Quadrant for Secure Web Gateways. The report evaluates vendors on their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision.” This is the sixth consecutive year that Zscaler has been recognized as a Leader amongst security providers.
The market for Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions is traditionally characterized by legacy on-premises appliances, but as businesses increasingly adopt cloud services, expand their workforce in remote locations and support mobile devices, the need for cloud-based security services is growing rapidly.
According to Gartner, “cloud services have experienced a 35 percent five-year compound annual growth rate, while on-premises appliances have only grown by 6 percent during the same period.”
“We believe being recognized as a Leader in the Secure Web Gateways market for the sixth consecutive year is a testament to our vision and the dedication of our employees to execute in the market to make that vision a reality,” said Jay Chaudhry, CEO of Zscaler. “As businesses embrace the cloud, we’re committed to securing, simplifying and ultimately transforming their entire security infrastructure.”
Thousands of enterprises and government organizations around the world have chosen Zscaler to protect their employees and data. Zscaler processes more than 25 billion transactions per day and protects its customers from more than 100 million malicious threats per day across the global network of more than 100 data centers.
