Bethesda, MD, September 20, 2018 – SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced its final Texas training event for the year. SANS Austin 2018(#SANSAustin) will take place November 26-December 1. The event features hands-on immersion style training courses for security professionals at every level.
According to SANS Senior Instructor Keith Palmgren (@kpalmgren), “The one constant in cyber security is change. If you are going to remain relevant in the field, you must continually update your knowledge and skills. The SANS SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style course I will teach in Austin is a broad spectrum survey of cyber security topics. It contains the essential knowledge necessary to be an effective cyber security practitioner.”
The SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style course details the most effective steps to prevent attacks and detect adversaries. Students will learn actionable techniques that they can apply immediately upon their return to work.
SANS Austin 2018 features courses covering a variety of topics including cyber defense, ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, security management, and ICS/SCADA security.
