BMC Racing Team is excited to welcome global cybersecurity company Sophos as the team’s official cybersecurity partner from January 1, 2018.
The partnership will see the leading cybersecurity company that protects more than 100 million users in 150 countries work within the cycling community for the first time.
BMC Racing Team general manager Jim Ochowicz said the partnership with Sophos is an important development for the team’s future.
“Sophos is a trusted global company with an established brand which is exactly what we were looking for in a new partner. The partnership with Sophos offers us the opportunity to grow our program and keep working towards our current goals, as well as establishing new goals. At BMC Racing Team, we are fortunate to work with a strong network of high level partners, and we believe Sophos is an excellent fit with the team’s DNA and spirit,” Ochowicz said.
Ochowicz continued, “Sophos develops industry-leading cybersecurity solutions to protect information and systems from all types of threats. The success of our organization is dependent on our ability to access online resources securely, so we are looking forward to working with Sophos to protect our data and reduce the risks of cyberattack. A partnership with Sophos, a company outside the cycling industry, is an excellent sign for the team and the sport of cycling. Sophos’ desire to invest in BMC Racing Team and the cycling community will certainly bring the team credibility as we look to the future. We are very excited to commence this partnership with Sophos in 2018 and proudly display their logo on our 2018 jersey and bib shorts as our official cybersecurity partner.”
BMC Racing Team owner Andy Rihs welcomes Sophos to the BMC Racing Team family.
“We are pleased to see another partner join BMC Racing Team who believes in the sport of cycling as a means to communicate with their customers. We welcome Sophos to our family at BMC Racing Team and look forward to working together,” Rihs explained.
