Bitdefender, the innovative security software solutions provider, will showcase the latest breakthroughs in integrated home cybersecurity in Las Vegas at CES 2017, the global hub for technological advances in consumer electronics.
Bitdefender, which created the integrated home cybersecurity market segment and remains its thought-leader, will offer the expected crowd of 165,000 a glimpse of its latest developments in smart home security. To better illustrate this the Bitdefender booth takes the shape of a house with kitchen, living room and lounge area, all packed with the latest “Internet of Things” and connected devices secured by Bitdefender.
As attacks on home routers, CCTV cameras and other household smart devices transform malware such as Mirai into a formidable weapon against home security and internet stability, Bitdefender will display advancements in its solution to the problem. Bitdefender BOX, which detects, monitors, and secures all internet-connected devices in a home, forms the centerpiece of the secure smart home.
“The number of internet connected devices in homes has increased dramatically and will reach 2.5 billion devices by 2019 according to Gartner research” said Ciprian Istrate, Vice President Consumer Solutions at Bitdefender. “We believe it’s high time to start thinking about protecting households not only from a physical integrity perspective, but also from a potential risk of virtual hijacking.”
The Bitdefender’s IoT experts will also hold a series of demonstrations on how the Bitdefender BOX can block hackers’ attempts to exploit the smart devices, from Jan. 5 to Jan. 8 at CES 2017, Sands A-C, and booth 40550.
