IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, February 24, 2017 – Cylance® Inc., the company replacing traditional antivirus with AI powered prevention that blocks everyday malware along with today’s most advanced cyberthreats, was named in the “50 Companies Leading the AI Revolution” in Fortune Magazine. The magazine chose the largest AI companies from among the most recent CB Insights AI 100 list. Cylance is the only endpoint security company recognized among the three AI based cybersecurity leaders, which included Darktrace and Sift Science.
“My co-founder Ryan Permeh and I recognized several years ago that only a truly revolutionary approach to endpoint security could be successful as the size and scale of cyberattacks continued to rise faster than security teams could hire,” said Stuart McClure, founder and CEO at Cylance. “AI is the only way for outnumbered security teams to prevent cyberattacks from executing on the endpoints where their invaluable data lives, so it’s intensely gratifying to see the technology recognized as truly revolutionary today.”
In addition to being named in Fortune’s “50 Companies Leading the AI Revolution” and to CB Insights’ AI 100, Cylance and McClure have received a number of accolades in recent months. These honors and awards include being named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 and as one of Forbes 2016 Best 100 Cloud Companies. Cylance CEO Stuart McClure was also selected as CEO of the Year and the company won the Gold Award for Innovation in Next Generation Security at the Info Security PG’s Global Excellence Awards during last week’s 2017 RSA Conference in San Francisco.
