SANS Highlights Cyber Security Startups in the Washington D.C. Area at SANS Baltimore

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, has invited cybersecurity startups in the Washington D.C. and Maryland area to pitch their cyber security product/service during SANS Startup 360 to be held September 27th. SANS Startup 360 is an evening session that will be held in conjunction with the SANS Baltimore Fall 2017 security training event taking place September 25 – 30. Security professionals in the area that want to gain valuable insight into up and coming cyber security products and services are welcome to attend the session.

According to John Pescatore, SANS Director of Emerging Security Trends and Moderator of the SANS Startup 360 session, “Cybercriminals make headlines by being innovative and entrepreneurial in developing and launching increasingly sophisticated attacks. SANS is investing in this event to enable a two way dialog between security teams and innovative, early stage startups. These startups will be the sources of future solutions that mitigate new attacks by preventing more, detecting faster and mitigating more surgically.”

SANS Startup 360 sessions are lightning round, elevator technical “rants.” SANS is not charging the startups to present and, as part of the deal, marketing pitches are prohibited. This one hour event will feature nine cybersecurity companies: AtomicMole, Cryptonite NXT, Cyber Crucible, Huntress Labs, Newedge Labs, OnSystem Logic, Polarity, SecondWrite, and Syncurity. Startup presenters will discuss how their technology can solve an important problem by increasing efficiency or effectiveness of real-world cybersecurity programs against real world threats. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and network with the presenters at the conclusion of the presentations.
